these lyrics came out of both sides of a breakup discussion. when the guy heard it and recognized his part, he assumed it was all his (just one of the reasons...). he asked me to change "as i am, for you boy to be a man" which would have been reasonable, for he is indeed a very manly man, except that it came from my input. i finally changed it to "just a friend, for this foolishness to end" after seeing so many guys going through the same nonsense with girls. loving an immature person can happen to almost anybody - it is certainly not gender specific

recorded live in an auditorium in front of about 7 people, 4 of whom were there to crew and made a wonderful audience, and were joined by 3 more from the station, including the lovely lena.
